About The Foundation
Our Story
The Ormondroyd Foundation was established by Tom Ormondroyd with support from his wife, Jessica, and his children. It is grounded in the beliefs and guiding principles instilled by his parents and family — values rooted in compassion, responsibility, and genuine care for others.
The Foundation was created with a shared belief that while not every circumstance can be controlled, the opportunity to respond to those circumstances can. Through thoughtful stewardship and a long-term perspective, the Foundation seeks to support efforts that create stability, restore dignity, and open the door for individuals and animals to move toward a better path.
Its approach is intentionally measured and purposeful — focusing on where support can make a meaningful difference rather than broad or reactive giving. By aligning with organizations that demonstrate integrity, effectiveness, and a deep commitment to those they serve, the Foundation aims to contribute to outcomes that are not only immediate, but lasting.
The Foundation is also created in memory of Al Ormondroyd, whose life exemplified empathy, generosity, and a deep concern for those in need. His example continues to shape and drive the Foundation’s mission and approach.
Our Philosophy
The Foundation believes that disadvantage — whether by birth, circumstance, or environment — should not eliminate the possibility of a better future.
Rather than operating broadly, the Foundation takes a thoughtful and opportunistic approach, supporting initiatives where it believes its resources can create meaningful and lasting impact. Geographic focus remains flexible, allowing the Foundation to respond where need and opportunity most strongly align.
Stewardship & Oversight
The Ormondroyd Foundation is governed by a Board of Directors responsible for ensuring the Foundation operates with integrity, accountability, and alignment with its charitable mission.
The Board oversees strategic direction, financial stewardship, regulatory compliance, and responsible grantmaking practices. Board composition and governance structure are designed to support long-term stewardship of the Foundation’s resources and mission.
Private Foundation
The Ormondroyd Foundation is a privately funded charitable organization and it does not accept unsolicited funding requests.
The Ormondroyd Foundation does not engage in public fundraising, but individuals or organizations with an interest in supporting the Foundation’s mission may submit an inquiry through the Foundation’s contact form. Any such contributions are evaluated at the sole discretion of the Foundation and in accordance with applicable laws governing private foundations.
The Ormondroyd Foundation is a private charitable foundation recognized as a tax-exempt organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
